Sparta winders are perfect for any mechanical watch. These battery only watch winders are fitted with replaceable long-life lithium D cell batteries that will last 5 years plus, making them ideal for use in a safe or where no power supply is available. This watch winder comes in a wooden box with a burl wood finish. The winder part can be removed from the wooden box to be placed in a safe should space be limited.

Unlike other watch winders that rotate a watch in order to wind it, the Sparta gently and safely swings the watch back and forth like a pendulum using Orbita's patented Rotorwind movement. Every 10 minutes or 15 minutes (this number is user selected via a switch) the internal control micro-processor signals the drive motor to make a single turn, causing the turntable (and watch) to swing gently back and forth for a number oscillations. This movement mimics the natural swinging action of the wrist.

The motor only works for the lifting portion of the winding cycle, with gravity doing the majority of the work as the watch then swings pendulum style. This means it uses less power and gives the longest battery life available of any watch winder. Program settings: The oscillating winding action of the Sparta can be set to a 10 or 15 minute cycle. A 10 minute cycle has an estimated 900 - 950 Turns-Per-Day (TPD) or a 15 minute cycle with an estimated 650 - 700 TPD.

Battery operation, comes with litium batteries already fitted and ready to go. The overall box measures 210 x 265 x 150. The removable sloped rectangle watch winder part has maximum dimensions of 160 x 235 x 110 mm (L x W x H). The very soft removable, adjustable watch holder has a circumference of 200mm. It can be compressed to hold a strap circumference much smaller.

Delivery

We aim to ship all goods within one business day of cleared payment. If you order and pay by 12:00 we will normally ship the same day (Monday - Friday).

Please note: We prefer not to ship to business addresses and will never ship to an unconfirmed business address.

If any of the contents appear to be damaged, the package must be signed for as 'damaged' and we must be notified immediately. Failure to do so will invalidate shipping insurance claims and we will not be liable for the damage.

Returns

All items are brand new. We have a 7 day returns policy. Goods returned within 7 days in original condition, unused and in the complete original packaging can be refunded, however customers are liable for all delivery charges to and from our address.

An item should never be returned to us without prior authorisation. Please contact us. A full payment minus the delivery charges will be refunded after we have received and inspected the returned item.

Warranty

This watch winder comes with a 2 year 'return to base' manufacturers warranty from Orbita Inc of the USA for any defects in materials and/or workmanship, with a further 3 year warranty available from the manufacturer. In the unlikely event of a fault the buyer will be asked to return the item to Orbita in the USA for repair or replacement. We are an authorised dealer and buy direct from Orbita Inc.
